The final couple of months of the Premier League season promise to be extremely exciting, with the title, the Champions League places and the relegation battle all set to be decided. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all embroiled in an intense fight to earn a place in the top four come mid-May, and with it a spot at Europe’s top table come the end of the campaign.
As it stands, Thomas Tuchel ’s men are in prime position having occupied third place for the vast majority of the campaign. The Blues increased their grip on the position at the weekend as they dismissed Southampton in emphatic style with a 6-0 thumping at St Mary’s.
Elsewhere, Antonio Conte appears to have finally got Tottenham firmly on track and with their 4-0 victory against Aston Villa appear to have built a useful gap between themselves and north London rivals Arsenal - the Gunners having suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
