Arsenal are interested in signing Leandro Trossard in January, football.london understands. Edu is understood to be in talks with Brighton over a move for the forward, who seems to have fallen out of favour with Roberto De Zerbi.
The Belgium international has scored seven and assisted three goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season and is seen as someone who can offer depth to the Arsenal squad. Mikel Arteta is keen on securing a winger this window after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk. Chelsea hijacked the Gunners' move for the Ukraine star and completed an £88million deal to make him Graham Potter's fifth signing this month.
Trossard has just six months remaining on his current contract with Brighton but the Sussex side retain the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months. Tottenham are also believed to be interested in the player, with Antonio Conte making it clear he wants to add new players to his squad.
