Following the recent developments in Arsenal's transfer saga with Mykhaylo Mudryk, Edu and Mikel Arteta may start looking elsewhere for more attacking depth. The Gunners have been linked with several top forwards in the footballing world, including Tammy Abraham, Facundo Torres and Noah Okafor.
Although Arsenal have scored 33 goals in 14 Premier League games this season, the need for more options in the forward department is paramount, as seen by their early Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Brighton, where none of the usual attacking quartet started.
Regarding some of their transfer targets, the Gunners may be forced to wait until the summer as many clubs are unlikely to part ways with their top assets. This is proven by the rapid price increase of Shakhtar's Mudryk with the Ukrainian club likely hoping the 21-year-old will at least stay until the end of the season.

Arsenal will need more depth in several departments if they are really hoping to push Manchester City all the way for the Premier League title, but if they are unable to do so, they can set themselves up with a really exciting summer transfer window.
The Youri Tielemans transfer saga has taken another twist with Real Madrid declaring an interest and are expected to pursue his services if they cannot sign Jude Bellingham, however, the Gunners will be hoping they can still sign Tielemans on a free transfer at the end of the season, potentially along with another player Arsenal have targeted who has a contract up in 2023.
Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram's current deal will expire at the end of the current campaign, and according to Fabrizio Romano, he will not be signing an extension.
Romano told GiveMeSport: "So, there are many clubs approaching his agent. From what I'm told, he's not going to extend the contract, so it makes a big opportunity for many clubs in the summer.
"Let's see if Arsenal will decide, or any other club, to negotiate in January for a different price."
Thuram was called up to the French World Cup squad, and Monchengladbach will no doubt be hoping that he features for Didier Deschamps' side, especially if they wish to receive a fee in January. While the injury to Christopher Nkunku may help his chances of playing, the French attack is stacked with World-class talent.
Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham are also in the race for Thuram, and both clubs could certainly negotiate a cut price if Monchengladbach do not want one of their star attackers leaving on a free transfer come the end of the season.
The 25-year-old is in top form for his club, having scored 13 goals from 17 appearances and could be a huge addition for Arteta or Antonio Conte in their respective pursuits of silverware.
