Time is running out for Arsenal to complete any deals in this summer's transfer window.
The north Londoners have already added five first-team players, spending in excess of £110 million to bring in former Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, as well as Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira, American goalkeeper Matt Turner and young Brazilian winger Marquinhos. Reports have suggested that manager Mikel Arteta is also keen to bring in a winger, with Wolves starlet Pedro Neto mooted as the priority target.
However, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have now claimed that the Gunners are interested in signing Real Madrid man Marco Asensio. Asensio has less than ten months remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu Stadium and the player looks unlikely to pen a new deal given his reduced minutes in recent times.

And both Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing Asensio, who hasn't quite lived up to his potential in the last few years. Speaking about the talented playmaker back in 2017, legendary Spanish coach Vincente del Bosque said: "He has personality and confidence. He is very good.
"I think he will become a world-class player. This season he played in the centre, left and right at Real and showed that he could be counted on as a regular. The World Cup in Russia for him? This will be the decision of (Julen) Lopetegui."
