Arsenal and Manchester City set Oleksandr Zinchenko transfer deadline after agreeing £30m fee

Arsenal and Manchester City have set a new deadline for Oleksandr Zinchenko’s transfer to the Emirates Stadium. It comes after both clubs reached an agreement for the Ukraine international to move to north London for a fee worth £30million.

Should the deal go through, the 25-year-old would be the Gunners’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The deal would also take their total spent to over £100million, with Mikel Arteta keen to add depth and quality to his squad.

The Spaniard lacked both in his side at times last campaign, costing them dearly when it mattered most. While a top four finish was on the cards during the season, they lost out on a return to the Champions League to north London rivals Tottenham.
