Arsenal are claimed to be gearing up for a move to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the summer, but will face competition from rivals Manchester United if they want to land the forward. It comes as both sides continue to be linked with options to bolster their attacking ranks.
The Gunners added Gabriel Jesus last summer in a huge coup for the club, while Leandro Trossard joined from Brighton to help add quality in depth. Injuries and tactical flexibility will continue to be a concern with the side long-term though, with Jesus' injury at the World Cup leaving Eddie Nketiah as the only option up front.
Rivals Manchester United find themselves in a similar position, adding quality in depth across the squad, but they are in need of a central striker. Wout Weghorst was drafted in on loan from Burnley to help fill the void, but the need for a long-term option is quite clear.

Vlahovic continues to be linked with both clubs, with the 23-year-old impressing in Serie A with Juventus, despite their difficulties on and off the field. The Bianconeri struggled for form during the start of the campaign under Max Allegri, but eventually picked that up until the club were deducted 15 points for financial-related matters.
With uncertainty as to how that may impact the business, it remains to be seen whether Vlahovic will have to leave, but it appears as though the two sides are monitoring any movement on a switch. That's as transfer expert Niccolo Ceccarini claims the Gunners are likely to make a move, as quoted by JuveNews.
Ceccarini said: “Arsenal had already tried to take him before the transfer to Juventus. The idea has remained and at the end of the season a new attempt is very likely. In England, however, they are not the only one, Manchester United has also started to move. In short, the situation is evolving.”
It remains to be seen if either side will make their move, with the transfer window now a few months away, but the ground work could be put into place that would see a switch go through.
