Eddie Nketiah is set to declare his international allegiance to Ghana after being granted a Ghanaian passport, football.london understands. Nketiah, 22, is a former England Under-21 international but has been persuaded to change country along with Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Arsenal striker is England Under-21s' record goalscorer with 16 goals but he's yet to secure a full international cap. As he has not played competitively for the Three Lions, he's still eligible to play for Ghana - who've approached him and his family on several occasions in the past.
Meanwhile, although Hudson-Odoi featured in a friendly against the Czech Republic at the age of 18, he too hasn't made a competitive appearance for England under Gareth Southgate. The duo are now set to switch allegiances together, much to the delight to the people of Ghana.

At club level, the two have had their respective struggles this season. Nketiah has only just been afforded the opportunity to start for Arsenal. With four goals in his last four games, he's found form at the right time as he continues to make a statement about his ability with his contract expiring in less than two months.
football.london understands that in recent months, Nketiah has rejected a range of contract offers, citing the need to play more often as the reason.
Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, has been sidelined with injury for weeks now and could play no further part in the rest of the campaign - although the hope remains that he will return and possibly be in contention for the FA Cup final on Saturday.
