Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister is being tracked by a number of clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with some reports claiming that two are in talks over a switch. Chelsea are one of those that are linked, as football.london understands the midfielder is a serious option for the Blues.
Arsenal are also rumoured as a potential option to play the left-side of midfield, the role that Granit Xhaka currently plays, as the central ranks are a priority for the summer. While the Seagulls are under little obligation to sell after their previous exports, there continue to be discussions over a move.
Mac Allister's father and agent, Carlos, told TyC Sports in February: "For now he’s at Brighton. It’s a very good thing that he returned from the World Cup and has not pushed to leave, enjoying his success calmly, in a team that loves him very much. The reception he received was great. He’s very happy at the club. We know in July there will be chances to leave. But prior to the World Cup, Alexis renewed his contract, so the club has the opportunity to make a big sale.”
