Arsenal agree Fabio Vieira transfer as Victor Osimhen bid 'prepared'

Arsenal's summer transfer window is set to be a busy one as Mikel Arteta looks to end the club's six-year UEFA Champions League hiatus.

The north Londoners have already announced the signing of young Brazilian winger Marquinhos, with American goalkeeper Matt Turner also set to be unveiled before the end of the month. Still, the Gunners continue to be linked with a number of top-class players and now football.london takes a look at the three biggest transfer rumours doing the rounds over the last 24 hours.

Vieira fee agreed

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Porto starlet Fabio Vieira, football.london understands. The north London outfit have been tracking the 22-year-old for some time and have now agreed a €40 million (£34 million) deal. This is lower than the Portuguese Under-21 international's release clause which is thought to be at around £42 million as the Gunners seek to take advantage of Porto's ongoing financial struggles.

The talented playmaker has been heavily linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in recent times but it appears that Arsenal have won the race to sign him.

Osimhen 'offer'

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello sport, via The Sun, Arsenal are 'preparing' a bid to sign Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen. The Gunners are in need of at least one striker after allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona in January whilst Alexandre Lacazette is set to depart for Lyon at the end of the month.

The report claims that Napoli want €100million (£86million) for the Nigerian international, a price that is said to not put Arsenal off a move. If the north Londoners did end up paying that much, it would break the club's current record signing - when they paid £72million for Nicolas Pepe back in the summer of 2019.

Gabriel Jesus update

The Times have reported that Arsenal have made an improved offer to Manchester City for forward Gabriel Jesus, who is into the final 13 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium. The report claims that City value the Brazilian at £50million and it is expected that the former Palmeiras frontman will join Arteta's side in the coming weeks.
