UEFA have Arsenal on a watchlist of 20 European clubs that could be in danger of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, according to recent reports.
The Gunners have spent heavily over the last two summers, spending in excess of £250 million to support manager Mikel Arteta's young rebuild whilst the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi have all had their respective contracts cancelled by the club. This has resulted in losses of £213 million over the last three years, with initial FFP analysis adding the north Londoners to a list of 20 clubs that may be in danger of breaching the rules for the 2021-22 year, as per The Times.
Still, final accounts for the 20 teams, including Arsenal, are yet to be filed with UEFA and it is claimed that they have received no warning from UEFA either. The Athletic reported on Monday morning that the Gunners are keen to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto before the summer transfer window closes next month, although it was also noted that Arteta's side cannot afford an extortionate fee given they are conscious of FFP limitations.

Five first-team players have arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer, with technical director Edu securing deals for former Manchester City duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus, as well as highly-rated Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira, young Brazilian winger Marquinhos and backup goalkeeper Matt Turner.
