With Manchester City facing Tottenham on Sunday when Liverpool are also in action, the Gunners survived a nervy finish as they again benefited from a fast start at Emirates Stadium.
Having smashed five first-half goals past RC Lens in midweek, Arsenal got to work early again on Saturday as Wolves sat in deep looking to frustrate them.
Bukayo Saka started a sixth-minute move which was worked sweetly through Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus to tee up the England winger, who made the most of a fortunate bounce off a Wolves leg to score.
Jesus was at the heart of things when Arsenal made it 2-0 on 13 minutes, Oleksandr Zinchenko playing a deft one-two with the Brazilian into the box before a cutback was swept home by Martin Odegaard.

There was a late fitness worry for the Gunners however as Takehiro Tomiyasu came off injured.
The leaders were made to sweat in the final five minutes when Oleksandr Zinchenko's error was punished by Matheus Cunha for 2-1.
However, Raya went untested in a nervy period of stoppage time as Arsenal extended their lead at the top.
