The Congress on Sunday alleged that the likes of former general secretary of the Ram Temple trust Champat Rai were being shielded in the Ram temple donation theft probe and hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his "silence" on the issue, saying "arrogance of power is suicidal".

The opposition party also asked why there was a 21-day delay in filing of an FIR after a video regarding the stolen amount reached Rai on June 4.
