Police said 'several arrests' were made last night as Manchester City fans celebrated their club's Champions League win in the city centre.
Hundreds of supporters gathered in Piccadilly Gardens after the Blues beat Inter Milan in Istanbul and completed the historic treble. Pictures showed elated fans clambering onto bus shelters, letting off flares and waving flags as they celebrated into the night.
While most of the occasion passed without trouble, Greater Manchester Police said some 'minor incidents' happened in the area. Multiple people were arrested on suspicion of public order offences amid the celebrations in the city centre.

Pictures showed several fans wearing City shirts being detained by officers. Photos also showed a group of males climbing onto a police specialist search unit van, leaving it with a smashed windscreen and damaged roof.
Police said one man was arrested on suspicion of damage to a police vehicle. The majority of fans however 'took part in the celebrations safely and respectfully', as police officers 'managed a large number of operations over the last 24 hours'.
Chief Superintendent Rick Jackson said the small number of arrests 'should not detract from what was a great night for this city'. Parklife festival also took place at Heaton Park yesterday, as well as The Weeknd concert at the Etihad stadium.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Following Manchester City's win last night (Saturday 10 June 2023), a large number of people gathered in Manchester city centre. The majority took part in the celebrations safely and respectfully, with most of the evening passing without incident.
"Equally, successful policing operations took place at the Etihad and AO arena for concerts, in addition to Parklife at Heaton Park. Some minor incidents occurred in Piccadilly Gardens, with several arrests made on suspicion of public order offences.
"One man has also been arrested on suspicion of damage to a police vehicle."
Chief Superintendent Rick Jackson, from GMP’s Manchester district, said: "This was a momentous occasion in the history of Manchester and overall, the night passed without any significant trouble. The night was the culmination of a busy one for Greater Manchester Police - from gigs and festivals to protests, we have managed a large number of operations over the last 24 hours.
"However, our officers have shown hard-work and professionalism; the last couple of days have passed relatively smoothly and it is down to their commitment. While several arrests were made in Piccadilly Gardens, the minority should not detract from what was a great night for this city."
