Arnold Schwarzenegger has had several iconic roles in his career from playing The Terminator in four of the hit films, John Kimble in Kindergarten Cop and Ivan Danko in Red Heat.
And in his latest role, the 74-year-old is playing Greek god Zeus - as part of an advertisement for BMW as they launch two All-New, fully electric vehicles in the U.S. next month.
The advert - directed by two-time Academy Award nominated director Bryan Buckley - shows the Hollywood star looking worlds away from his regular self as he dons a silvery white wig and faux beard covers his chin.
He's also seen wearing a range of costumes - including a white toga, gold body armour and leather tabard - in the advert that features Salma Hayek, 55, as she plays his wife, goddess Hera.
Salma stuns in the footage with her famous curves dressed in an array of gorgeous white and gold Grecian style garments that show off her hourglass shape and plays doting wife to Arnie's character.
The hilarious 60-second advert - that will debut during the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 13, 2022 - tells the story of the pair retiring from Mount Olympus to Palm Springs, California, with their mini pegasus pet, named Peggie.
But retirement is not easy for Zeus - who has gone from chief Greek deity to spending his days lounging about in the sunshine.
Unhappy with living away from Mytikas peak, he struggles to come to terms with earthly electronics and tires of his nagging mortal neighbours’ constant requests to charge their electric golf carts and hedge trimmers.
Meanwhile, Hera is seen loving her retirement on earth and in a bid to bring some excitement back into Zeus’s life, she gifts him with an all-electric BMW iX.
Zeus is pleased with the electric vehicle and scenes show the couple loving life as they take their new wheels for a spin to the tune of Eddy Grant’s Electric Avenue.
In a funny twist, Zeus uses his electric powers to change the traffic lights to green to ensure they speed through the sunny roads of California as he and Hera playfully sing.
Speaking on working on the advert with BMW, Arnold said: "The humor lies in this legendary god of lightning, who is supposed to be indestructible, battling with everyday electronics.
“It is only when his brilliant wife presents him with the gift of an all-electric BMW iX that Zeus is struck with the mighty power of electricity and is completely rejuvenated.”
The ad also marks Frida actress Salma's debut in a Super Bowl spot and the first time she and Schwarzenegger have co-starred in a national advert.
“This is my first Super Bowl commercial—and the first time I’ve played a Greek goddess,” said the bombshell.

“Seventy-five per cent of the decisions made in a marriage about where to spend the money are made by women, and in this commercial, it is the woman who decides on the right car to get her husband back on track. Of course, the commercial is entertaining, but there is also a real human truth to it.”
Director Bryan Buckley was over the moon to be involved, telling: “I’ve done 60-some-odd Super Bowl spots. I’ve never had more star power than these two."
"When I first saw Schwarzenegger’s name on the script, I was in. And Salma—there is no one greater as an actress. It’s a movie in 60 seconds, and it’s on the biggest platform."
