Arnold Schwarzenegger farted in face of ‘End of Days’ co-star, she says

Working alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger really stinks, according to one former co-star.

“Harry Potter” alum Miriam Margolyes is spilling all the not-so-fragrant details about the actor and former California governor.

The 81-year-old British Australian actress told news.com.au’s “I’ve Got News For You” podcast this week all about her rotten experience with the “Terminator” star, 74, with whom she co-starred in “End of Days.”

“I didn’t like the wrestler … you know, from Austria. What’s his name? … Schwarzenegger, yeah, didn’t care for him,” said Margolyes, who in addition to playing Professor Sprout in the “Potter” films, is known for her work in “The Age of Innocence,” and more recently, “Call the Midwife.”

“He’s a bit too full of himself,” she added of Schwarzenegger. “And I don’t care for him at all. He’s a Republican, which I don’t like. And he was actually quite rude. He farted in my face.”

The alleged incident happened while the two were filming “End of Days” in Los Angeles, with Margolyes saying that the former California governor “did it deliberately, right in my face.”

“I was playing Satan’s sister and he was killing me [in the scene]. So he had me in a position where I couldn’t escape lying on the floor,” Margolyes recalled. “And he just farted. It wasn’t on film. It was in one of the pauses. But I haven’t forgiven him for it.”

The experience wasn’t the only thing that stunk about the 1999 supernatural flick, according to viewers. “End of Days” holds a meager 11% approval rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes — with critics dubbing it “an overblown thriller with formulaic action scenes and poor acting.”
