Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma has refused to close the door on reports linking him with a move to Manchester United, insisting he has unfinished business in England.
The Dutchman, who will no doubt have aspirations of being a part of the Netherlands squad at the World Cup later this year, is being monitored by United this summer. The Manchester Evening News understands that the club are keeping tabs on him ahead of the summer transfer window officially opening, but a move, as things stand, remains unlikely.
After moving to Villarreal from Bournemouth almost a year ago Danjuma flourished in his first season in Spain, scoring 16 goals and grabbing four assists in 34 appearances in all competitions. He starred in the Champions League, with six of his 16 goals coming in the competition, as Villarreal reached the semi-finals.

Understandably, his performances have drawn attention from several big-name European clubs, including United and Liverpool. He has a €45million release clause in his contract and that can be activated this summer.
Although he has richly enjoyed his time in Spain so far, the 25-year-old — who notched 17 goals and grabbed eight assists for Bournemouth in the Championship in 2020/21 — has made it clear that he would be open to returning to England. His one and only season as a Premier League player was heavily hampered by injury troubles.
"There's definitely unfinished business for me in England," Danjuma told Sky Sports. "The reason why I joined Bournemouth initially was for me to play Premier League football.
"I think how big the league is and it's seen as the best league in the world for many of us."
Despite refusing to rule out the prospect of a return to England and the Premier league in the future, Danjuma also pledged his commitment to Villarreal. He was their star attraction this term and the La Liga side will be desperate to keep hold of him.
He continued: "I did an interview in Holland, I'm aware of the interest and they asked me if I was aware of the interest. You're aware of it and I'm aware of it because it's been in the press, my phone went off all the time, so I'm aware of the interest because of the media.
"I never actually confirmed interest from Liverpool because the only one who confirms that to me at is my team. I haven't heard anything from my team and as it stands I'm enjoying my football at Villarreal. I'm really happy here at the minute. We had a fantastic season.
"Unai [Emery], the fans and the entire club have been unbelievable to me so I would never try to downgrade the club I'm playing for. I'm really happy here."
