Army bomb squads were sent to a house in Leeds to remove a grenade from the back garden.
The disposals experts determined the grenade wasn't capable of working and took it away after attending the garden in Londesboro Grove, East End Park, at 3.27pm today (May 17).
West Yorkshire Police said: "At 12.45pm today, police were contacted about a suspected grenade having been dug up during gardening at an address in Londesboro Grove, Leeds.

"A cordon was put in place for public safety and neighbouring properties were vacated. Army bomb disposals experts attended at 3.27pm and confirmed it was not a viable device and removed it."
