Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the armorer for the movie 'Rust,' is set to testify on Friday but has indicated that she will not cooperate, according to her attorney.
Despite being transported from prison to the courthouse, Gutierrez Reed plans to plead her Fifth Amendment rights, as confirmed by her attorney, Jason Bowles.
Earlier in June, prosecutors had requested the court to grant Gutierrez Reed immunity in order to compel her testimony; however, the judge ruled against this request.
Bowles expressed disappointment at the court's decision, stating, 'Hannah got nothing. That's not normal.'
In April, Gutierrez Reed was sentenced to the maximum term of 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter. She has since appealed this conviction.
