Armed police swooped on a quiet Scottish street on Sunday after reports of a firearm being 'discharged' in the area.
A heavy police presence was spotted on Mayfield Crescent, Leslie, Fife, on Sunday, July 3, with images showing multiple vehicles parked close to the scene and armed officers preparing themselves.
The incident occurred around 12pm and Police Scotland have since confirmed that nobody was injured during the operation, as the Record reports.

They also added that enquiries into the incident are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
A nearby resident captured images of the emergency response gearing up in the residential area.
It was also snapped from afar by another concerned local as the sight of officers with heavy duty equipment sparked panic.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a possible firearm being discharged in the Maryfield Crescent area of Leslie around 12pm on Sunday, 3 July, 2022.
“Emergency services attended and no-one was injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
