Armed police were scrambled after reports of a shooting in Rochdale. Two passengers on a bus were injured following the incident in the Kirkholt area of the town last night (Dec 7).
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to 'reports of a suspected firearms incident' after a bus was attacked on Daventry Road. Two passengers suffered 'minor' injuries, at around 7pm, after some of the bus windows were shattered.
Officers arrested a man on suspicion of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life. The cause of the damage to the bus remains under investigation.
