Armed police lock down Scots street over reports of ‘disturbance’ at property

Armed police have locked down a street in Stonehaven after officers were called to reports of a ‘disturbance’.

Emergency services remain in attendance at Hunter Place after being called on Monday afternoon.

A picture from the scene shows a number of first response vehicles lining the street with a cordon put in place.

The nature of the disturbance has not yet been confirmed by police. It is not known whether anyone has been injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance at Hunter Place in Stonehaven following reports of a disturbance."
