Armed police officers seen in Stockwood have seized four 'imitation firearms'. Officers were called to Craydon Road shortly after 1pm today (Wednesday, June 7) by a caller who reported seeing men acting suspiciously with what were thought to be guns.
The items, believed to be imitation firearms, were seized by units in attendance. An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said officers had spoken to four men and the items had been taken for examination.
Enquiries are ongoing and the spokesperson confirmed no arrests had been made.

A local witness reported a "large armed response presence" in the Stockwood area at the top of Sturminster Road. Another witness told BristolLive officers were in the area for around 45 minutes with a drone in the air.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Police have seized four items believed to be imitation firearms in Stockwood, Bristol, this afternoon, Thursday 7 June. Officers were called to the Craydon Road area just after 1pm after receiving a report of suspicious behaviour involving men with what was thought to be guns.
"Units including specialist armed response teams attended and by 2pm had spoken to four men and seized the items, which have been taken for examination. Enquiries continue and there are currently no arrests."
