Armed police closed a key route in Pontypridd last night as they attended reports of a "possible stabbing". The incident, which took place along High Street, saw a heavy emergency services presence in attendance.
Witness Chris Baker was on Graig Hill shortly before 9pm where he witnessed a large number of police vehicles blocking the road. He explained how there were five at the top of the hill and others at the bottom. He told WalesOnline that one of the officers could be heard shouting near a home: "Answer the door now." He added that police dogs were on the scene near the Premier convenience store.
But officers said that when they got to the scene, the matter was not as reported. They did, however, arrest two men in connection with the incident. You can read more of the latest breaking news from Wales here.
