Two balaclava-clad thugs threatened to kill a family with two children during a raid on their home.
Patrick Mooney and Patrick Keenan terrorised victims with a baseball bat, a metal pole and spade during the robberies and abductions across Scotland, telling them: "Shut up or I will kill you."
Two children aged eight and 12 were at home with their family when the pair struck, the High Court in Paisley heard.

Jailing Mooney, 41, and Keenan, 23, Judge Lord Arthurson said: "These crimes, which were violent, targeted, concerted and obviously carefully planned in their nature.
"The sums taken from each home were not substantial, but that is perhaps beside the point in consideration of the sheer gravity of these offences."
The pair broke into houses in the Chryston area of Lanarkshire and East Calder in Februay 2021.
Detective Inspector Kevin Tait said: "Abduction and robberies within someone’s home are very intrusive crimes.
"Patrick Mooney and Patrick Keenan targeted their victims, planned their attacks and had no regard for the impact that these crimes have on the victim and their families.
"We carried out extensive investigations with our colleagues from across the country to ensure these two men were apprehended.
"Thankfully crimes of this violent nature are not a common occurrence and this was a great example of the positive relationship we have with the public who provided important information which assisted our enquiries. "
Sentencing Mooney to 10 years and Keenan to nine, Lord Arthurson told them: "Criminal justice social work reports have been made available for the purposes of this morning’s hearing. These make for rather grim reading.
"Mr Keenan, you have offended consistently from the age of 16 without significant interruption. You told the author of your report that you were smoking cannabis regularly in the lead up to and throughout the index offences. You have been assessed as presenting a high level of risk to the public."
He went on: "Mr Mooney, you have accepted your responsibility in the planning and carrying out of these offences.
"There are no known protective factors in respect of you also. You have an entrenched pattern of offending, albeit there have been some gaps in your offending record. It would appear that you to, as I read your report, present a high level of risk to the public."
