Armagh vs Tyrone: TV and live streaming info for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC Qualifier

Round one Qualifier games don’t get much bigger than this. Armagh versus Tyrone in a packed Athletic Grounds for the right to remain in the 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.

It is a rivalry which gripped the nation throughout the noughties with the sides meeting in the 2003 All-Ireland final.

Tyrone edged a tense, tight battle that day to claim the Sam Maguire which Armagh had won a year earlier earlier.

When they met in the 2005 Ulster final, the game was moved to Croke Park to cope with demand for tickets.

In recent years, Armagh’s slump to Division Three meant games between the sides weren’t as frequent, but the Orchard County returned to Division One for the 2021 campaign.

The rivalry was well and truly restored in February when Kieran McGeeney’s men claimed a resounding six-point victory over the defending All-Ireland champions in the Athletic Grounds.

Yet, the game itself was overshadowed by an unsavoury melee at the end of the match with David Gough issuing red cards to four Tyrone players and one Armagh player.

The Red Hands lost out to Derry by 11 points in their Ulster SFC quarter-final in Omagh while Donegal eliminated Armagh from the provincial series with a seven-point victory in Ballybofey.
