After much speculation about where it could be played, it seems that Armagh’s eagerly-anticipated rematch with Galway might take place in Croke Park after all.
It is understood that both counties have jointly requested that their forthcoming tie is moved from Carrick-on-Shannon due concerns over the limited capacity of Avant Money Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.
The Leitrim venue is due to host the fixture on Sunday, June 18 simultaneously with the other Group Two clash between Tyrone and Westmeath, which is set for Kingspan Breffni Park at 4pm.

The GAA confirmed the times, dates and venues for all the Round Three games on Tuesday evening with the majority of tickets going on sale for the game on Wednesday.
However, tickets for Armagh versus Galway are not yet on general sale with both counties hoping for a switch to Croke Park.
The current capacity of Páirc Seán MacDiarmada is 9,331 and there will be an extraordinary rush for tickets for, arguably, the pick of the Round Three games.
The sides brought a huge support to Croke Park last summer with over 70,000 fans in attendance for a double-header with Kerry’s quarter-final clash with Mayo.
The Tribesmen won a thrilling contest after a penalty shootout before going on to lose the All-Ireland SFC final to Kerry.
Earlier in the week, there were suggestions that Kingspan Breffni, which has a capacity of around 25,000, would host the game.
However, Tyrone’s tie against Westmeath will form a double-header with Dublin’s Group Four clash with Sligo at the Cavan venue.
If the CCCC are unwilling to bring Armagh and Galway to Croker for a standalone tie, Dr Hyde Park (18,000) in Roscommon, Markievicz Park (18,000) in Sligo and St Tiernach’s Park (29,000) in Clones are other venues that might be considered.
