On September 10, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0) will kick off their second game against the Arkansas State Red Wolves (1-0) at noon in Columbus, Ohio. This matchup will be interesting because it will be the first-ever meeting between these two programs.
Our friends at Tipico, our official odds provider currently have Ohio State c listed as a mighty large 44.5-point favorite with the total point total sitting at 68.5. Despite this being the very first meeting between these two programs, Ohio State is 2-0 straight-up, but 0-2 against the spread when facing teams from the Sun Belt.
The Buckeyes previously played the Troy Trojans in 2008 and won 28-10, but did not beat the 20-point spread. In 2004, Ohio State played the Marshall Thundering Herd in 2004 and squeaked out a 24-21 victory, when the spread was 16 points.
Ohio State is a healthy 13-0 against non-power five opponents, since 2015, but a slightly shocking 7-6 against the spread.
