Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake faced questions regarding the 2022 gubernatorial race against Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs but repeatedly redirected the conversation towards future plans and priorities. When asked about the outcome of the previous race, Lake emphasized her focus on upcoming elections and key issues facing the state.

Lake expressed her anticipation for the upcoming November 5 election and highlighted the concerns of Arizona residents regarding border security and economic recovery. She emphasized the importance of Republicans working towards a thriving economy and addressing unemployment rates.

Despite being pressed for a direct answer on the 2022 race results, Lake reiterated her commitment to looking ahead and declined to dwell on past controversies. She cited ongoing litigation as a reason for not discussing the previous election outcome.

It is worth noting that Lake had previously made unsubstantiated claims of election rigging in the 2022 race, which she unsuccessfully contested in court. Despite her assertions of being the rightful winner, the results remained unchanged.

Currently, Lake, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, is engaged in a Senate race against Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego to succeed retiring Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.
