Ariana Grande's divorce from ex-husband Dalton Gomez has been officially settled after six months from the initial filing. The pop star initiated divorce proceedings on Sept. 18, and the settlement agreement became effective on Tuesday.
The couple had a prenuptial agreement in place, leading to a smooth process with no legal disputes over the past six months. Grande will make a one-time payment of $1,250,000 to Gomez, give him half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home, and cover up to $25,000 in his attorneys' fees as per the agreement.
Grande and Gomez tied the knot in a small ceremony at Grande's Montecito home in 2021 after starting their relationship in early 2020. Following the divorce filing, rumors emerged about Grande's relationship with her 'Wicked' co-star, Ethan Slater, known for his role in 'SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.'
Grande and Slater were seen together, sparking speculation about their involvement while still with their respective partners. Slater had filed for divorce from Lilly Jay in July 2023. The pair attended Slater's 'Spamalot' premiere at the St. James Theatre in New York City on Nov. 15.
Reports suggest that Grande and Slater have a serious relationship, enjoying a 'very normal' dynamic and preferring quiet nights in. Grande, who recently released her seventh studio album 'eternal sunshine,' asked fans not to send hate to individuals in her life based on their interpretations of the album's songs.
She emphasized the album's mix of painful moments and deep love, urging listeners to understand the intention behind the music. Grande's message on Instagram encouraged fans to support her positively and appreciate the album's emotional depth.
