Argos selling 'excellent' £25 blanket that will help cut energy bills this winter

Shoppers are loving an electric blanket from Argos that claims to cost only pennies to run.

With autumn underway, the retailer is selling the Slumberdown Essential Warmth Underblanket in a small double size for just £25.

The blanket warms up in as little as five minutes and boasts three heat settings, allowing you to get the perfect temperature for your bed with ease. Not only can it be kept on all night, but is also machine washable for added convenience.

There's even an overheat protection feature for your peace of mind as well as a two-year warranty.

Our favourite part, however, is that this electric blanket is super cheap to run and it could help you save money on your energy bills this winter.

Several shoppers who have purchased the item have hailed it as "excellent value", while others claim it has helped them "save money on electricity bills".

The Slumberdown blanket is available in two sizes: small single (£20) and small double (£25).

It easily attaches with corner straps to a small double bed, meaning you can warm up your whole body in little to no time.

The energy-saving blanket has been going down a storm with shoppers who have given it five-stars on the Argos website.

One impressed customer said: "I’ve been using this blanket every night and it’s brilliant! I’ve never had one that heats up as quickly as this one. I purchased it 3 weeks ago and recommended it to my sister who has bought 2 of them."

A second wrote: "Had a cheeky test out the other nite! Glorious! Will be a life saver if we have a chilly winter!!"

A third added: "So glad I’ve got this blanket! Used it a couple of times and even in the lowest setting it keeps me warm! Worth spending a couple of extra £’s on a decent blanket especially for when colder weather is back".

Whether you're looking to save money on your heating bill, or just need a way to keep extra cosy this winter, this popular blanket is certainly worth a try.

Home delivery from Argos is priced from £3.95, while click and collect is free.
