More than 8 million New York households are set to receive inflation refund cheques worth up to $400 this autumn as part of Governor Kathy Hochul's 2025–26 state budget.
The initiative, the first of its kind in New York, requires no applications and is designed to ease pressure from rising food, fuel and housing costs.
