Are Wall Street Analysts Bullish on Allstate Stock?

With a market cap of $66.1 billion, The Allstate Corporation (ALL) is a leading provider of insurance and protection solutions, offering affordable and connected coverage for autos, homes, electronic devices, and identities. With more than 216 million policies in force, Allstate serves customers through a broad distribution network and is widely recognized for its “You’re in Good Hands with Allstate” brand promise.

The insurance giant's shares have outperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. ALL stock has increased 25.3% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 20.4%. Moreover, shares of the company are up 25.6% on a YTD basis, compared to SPX’s 13.7% gain.

In addition, shares of the Northbrook, Illinois-based company have also outpaced the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLF) 10.5% return over the past 52 weeks.

Shares of Allstate rose nearly 4% following its Q2 2026 results on Aug. 5 as adjusted EPS of $8.99 beat the consensus estimate and surged 51.3% year-over-year, driven by stronger underwriting, premium growth, robust investment income, and lower catastrophe losses. Net investment income jumped 33.8% to $1 billion, beating estimates, underwriting income in Property-Liability soared 56.7% to $2 billion, and catastrophe losses fell 12.8% to $1.4 billion, helping pretax income climb 53.2% to $4.1 billion.

For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect Allstate’s adjusted EPS to decline 2.6% year-over-year to $33.92. However, the company’s earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 24 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on 10 “Strong Buy” ratings, 10 “Holds,” and four “Strong Sells.”

On Aug. 11, JPMorgan’s Pablo Singzon raised Allstate’s price target to $292 and maintained an “Overweight” rating.

The mean price target of $273.83 represents a 4.8% premium to ALL's current levels. The Street-high price target of $334 implies a potential upside of 27.8%.
