It has cost nearly £500k policing a feud between rival drug gangs in North Down as 11 men are arrested in connection with criminal activity in Newtownards this week.
Police have revealed the costs of the operation relating to the feud, with £476,000 being spent from March until May 31, saying that it has been "a drain on resources at a time of stark budgetary pressures".
11 men, aged from 24 to 56, were arrested this week by detectives investigating criminal activity in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards on Thursday, April 6.
