Glastonbury headliners Arctic Monkeys' fate seems to have been confirmed following two show cancellations earlier this week.
Frontman Alex Turner was suffering from laryngitis which can take at least a week to recover from - causing the band to cancel two shows ahead of their Glastonbury set reports the Mirror.
Fans of the Sheffield band were worried after their headline slot at the world-famous festival was thrown into doubt after they cancelled a gig in Dublin on Tuesday.
However, all seems to still be going ahead as Alex's girlfriend took to her Instagram to share an update.
Posting a snap of her torso in a car, French singer Louise Verneuil wrote: "Go Glasto."
No members of AM could be seen travelling with the star, but it is hope for the 200,000 people attending the upcoming festival.
Following their Glastonbury performance, the English rock band are also scheduled to play Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on Sunday, June 25.
It will be the first Scottish show since they headlined the city’s TRNSMT festival in 2018 and thousands of fans have already snapped up tickets for the event but were facing an anxious wait on whether it will go ahead.
On Monday, the band apologised to their Irish fans and explained: "Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis and, following medical advice, has been ordered to rest.
"Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause all their Irish fans.
"Full refunds will be credited back to the ticket purchaser’s account by Ticketmaster within the next six working days.”
It sent fans into a frenzy, hoping the Do I Wanna Know? hitmaker would make a speedy recovery.
"Back in 2013, Alex Turner had to cancel shows due to laryngitis and was back on stage 5 days after the first cancellation.
"He has 4 days to get his voice ready for the Arctic Monkeys' Glastonbury set on Friday... hopefully it won't risk damage but that's a bit touch and go," one fan mused on Twitter as the news broke.
"Woah what about Glastonbury? He's not gonna properly recover for Glastonbury.." another feared.
