It's just days until tens of thousands of Arctic Monkeys fans descend on south Bristol for the first time since 2006. Currently considered to be one of the nation's biggest rock groups, the four-piece will kickstart the first date of their UK and Ireland tour at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, 2023.
The Sheffield rock outfit - Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook and Nick O'Malley - has been travelling around Asia and Europe promoting their seventh studio album The Car released last year. The UK and Ireland leg of the concert tour comprises 14 dates with an additional headline slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on June 23.
Arctic Monkeys are expected to play a set sprinkled with songs spanning their two-decade career, including '505', 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' and 'Do I Wanna Know?' the latter of which propelled them to international fame. So far, their setlist has changed most nights on the tour. They will be supported by the Swedish rock band, The Hives, who celebrate their 30th year this year, alongside British four-piece, The Mysterines.
