How to get there

Promoters MCD are warning attendees to leave at least two hours to get to the venue at Marlay Park. There are a number of ways to reach the venue:

Dublin Bus

There are several Dublin Bus routes that can drop you off near Marlay Park. The number 14 and 75 bus takes you straight to Ballinteer Shopping Centre, which is just a short walk away from the venue.

The numbers 16, 116, and 161 buses also serve the Grange Road entrances of Marlay Park close to the concert site.

Luas

If you're thinking about travelling by Luas, the closest Luas stops, Ballaly and Dundrum, are a 30-minute to Marlay Park. There will be a Park and Ride shuttle service from Dundrum Town Centre and Custom House Quay, with online booking in advance advised.

Private bus coaches

A concert shuttle bus by Marathon Sports Travel is the most direct form of transport to the concert, and the drop-off point is directly outside Marlay Park.

Car

Concertgoers who are driving from the city centre can access the mark via Ranelagh, Clonskeagh, Goatstown, Sandyford, Grange Road and then onto College Road for car parks. If you're taking the M50, exit M50 at Junction 13 Interchange (Dundrum).

Follow Brehonfield Road R133, direction Rathfarnham. Turn left at Ballinteer St Johns GAA Club onto R822 (signposted Ticknock). Turn right at traffic lights at Taylor’s Three Rock Pub onto College Road R113. The entrance to the car park is off College Road.

However, the car park at Marlay Park has very limited space and has to be pre-booked online. People without a booking will be turned away. The car park opens one hour in advance of the concerts so in this case it's open from 3pm.

Banned items

Concertgoers are forbidden from bringing garden furniture, deckchairs, fold-up chairs, or shooting sticks into Marlay Park. Umbrellas, flagpoles, folding chairs, or alcohol will be confiscated at the ticket barriers.

Backpacks, bags over A4 size, professional cameras and recording equipment are also banned.

When do gates open?

Gates open at 4pm on Tuesday and the show starts at 5pm in Marlay Park. According to concert promoters MCD, overnight and early queuing is not allowed at Marlay Park.

MCD has also warned ticketholders there are no re-admissions to gig, so if you leave you can't re-enter.

Stage times and support acts

Swedish rock band The Hives are set to be the support on the night from around 5pm, as well as alternative rock band The Mysterines from Liverpool.

Arctic Monkeys are expected on stage at around 8:30pm.
