Architects propose bold ‘ribbon’ roads to restore vehicle access to Hammersmith Bridge

Architects have unveiled bold plans to build two curved roads alongside London's historic Hammersmith Bridge, aiming to restore vehicle access to the Victorian crossing.

Design studio Sybarite and engineers Buro Happold propose constructing "elliptical ribbons" on either side of the Grade II* listed structure, which has been closed to traffic since 2019.
