Deep beneath the surface of the ancient city of Taposiris Magna lies a remarkable discovery that has captivated archaeologists and experts alike. Unveiled by Kathleen Martinez of the University of Santo Domingo and her team, an extraordinary tunnel has been unearthed, leaving researchers in awe of its intricate design and engineering prowess.
Located 13 meters underground, this 2-meter tall tunnel stretches an astounding 1,305 meters through solid sandstone. Its geometric precision and similarity to the renowned Tunnel of Eupalinos on the Greek island of Samos have left many marveling at its apparent engineering brilliance. The tunnel's purpose, however, remains shrouded in mystery, with a portion of it submerged in water.
