A picture of new Texas quarterback Arch Manning is making the rounds on the internet. The highly touted prospect is pictured flexing in the gym alongside three of his fellow Longhorns QBs, including Quinn Ewers, and fans instantly turned the photo into a meme.
Fans quickly pointed out the difference between Manning’s and Ewers’s appearances as the two battled for the starting role just a few months ago. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian noted in April after the spring game that Ewers is expected to be the starting quarterback for the 2023 season despite all of the hype surrounding Manning’s arrival.
People were mostly shocked to see just how much effort Manning has put into the gym ahead of his collegiate career. His appearance is especially a sharp contrast to the builds of his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, as fans pointed out across social media.
The picture of the young Manning wasn’t only shown in comparison to his uncles, but also to the infamous photo of Tom Brady at the 2000 NFL scouting combine.
Another fellow Texas quarterback, Maalik Murphy, was one of the first people to continue the meme with this post.
