Arc Raiders stamps out another duplication exploit in Embark's latest hotfix that also fixes some annoying PS5 crashes

Arc Raiders Shared Watch event update.

You can reset the counter, because yet another duplication exploit in Arc Raiders has been patched out. Embark Studios just rolled out a hotfix for the issue, while sorting another separate problem and some annoying crashes in the extraction shooter.

In a message shared in the official Discord server, community manager Ossen announces the fix is now live. It addresses another duplication glitch, and as usual, no specifics are given, lest players get crafty about trying it or testing these protections.

There have been consistent reports about this glitch since the Flashpoint update. The implementation of that update may have been the trigger, as there's been an uptick of verifiable witnesses. On the Discord server, people state they've noticed it happening around the hatch key, with two players apparently needed to perform the workaround: one to do the duping and leave, the other to pick up the haul. Nonetheless, it's gone, and balance has been restored.

Another issue surrounding players rejoining a round they shouldn't have access to has been massaged out as well. Again, no other details, but it sounds like something that could be quite cumbersome depending on how widespread it was.

Finally, instances of the game crashing on PlayStation 5 have been rectified. This isn't something I've personally encountered, but I can imagine it was a pretty severe irritant for those who did, especially if it was happening over and over.

On the crashes, Ossen adds that Embark "will continue to monitor the situation as we investigate further." In other words, we may see more fixes and patches for this in the coming days and weeks, as the devs further look into the problem. This handy-dandy hotfix doesn't require you restarting the game, so you can seamlessly enjoy your time battling the Arcs in peace.

For now, at least, keep providing feedback on anything suspicious. Although Embark's gotten heat for its anti-cheat practices, the team is clearly trying to stay on top of glitches and exploits as they come up.

Arc Raiders patch saves the whole game by fixing the Rocketeer sound, and also stops Trigger Nades from "sometimes" dealing 300% damage.
