People walking through and enjoying the sun in The Arboretum in Nottingham city centre said they were impressed with how clean it is. The popular park has previously been known to be heavily littered as groups of people sitting in the warm weather leave behind their rubbish.
But aside from one or two rogue plastic bottles, not a single piece of litter could be seen anywhere around The Arboretum today. And people in the park on Easter Monday (April 18) said they were happy to see the beautiful hotspot in all its glory and not blighted by rubbish.

James Hunt, 23, a software engineer who lives nearby and was walking his dog Todd, 6, said: "When it was first sunny a while back, the park was just full of rubbish and there were lots of people leaving it behind. But I think since then, more big black bins have been added, and that's really helped things, it's reduced the amount of trash around.
"It's nice weather, it's nice to be outside. I met with some family on Easter Sunday, when it wasn't too hot but we still had a barbecue. It's been a good Easter."
With so little rubbish about, and empty bins, it appeared that Nottingham City Council workers had been hard at work too to make sure the park was in such as great state.
Matt Tomlinson, 28, who lives nearby, said: "I love coming here. It looks so good today with the weather and things blooming.
"To not see any rubbish about too is a bonus. The weather has been glorious and I saw some family on Sunday.
"It's been nice to have been off for a few days. I feel like I haven't had a proper break in ages."
Kiera Harding, 21, a Nottingham Trent University student, said: "I've just come out for a walk and to get some fresh air, and it's so nice. It looks so nice around here.
"Me and some housemates have been out in the city enjoying the sun, we all went for some drinks on Sunday which was good."
