Arabica Coffee Prices Strengthen on Dry Conditions in Brazil

March arabica coffee (KCH24) this morning is up +1.10 (+0.58%), and Jan ICE robusta coffee (RMF24) is down -34 (-1.19%).

Coffee prices this morning are mixed. Arabica coffee has support as ongoing dry weather in Brazil risks damaging coffee crops. Somar Meteorologia reported today that Brazil's Minas Gerais region received only 35.1 mm of rainfall in the past week, or 65% of the historical average. Minas Gerais accounts for about 30% of Brazil's arabica crop. Robusta coffee today is moderately lower as prices consolidate below last Friday's 5-1/2 month high.
