Arabica Coffee Prices Fall as Risk-Off Sentiment Undercuts Commodity Prices

May arabica coffee (KCK25) today is down -10.00 (-2.66%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK25) is not trading today with markets closed in London for the Easter Monday holiday.

Coffee prices today are retreating as a sell-off in the equity market has sparked risk-off sentiment in asset markets and is undercutting commodity prices, including coffee.  An increase in current coffee supplies is also negative for coffee prices after ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories rose to a 1-month high last Thursday of 795,588 bags, and ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories rose to a 1-week high of 4,272 lots.
