Arabica Coffee Gains on Production Concerns in Brazil

September arabica coffee (KCU24) today is up +0.75 (+0.33%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU24) is down -16 (-0.39%).

Coffee prices today are mixed.  Arabica coffee garnered support today after coffee cooperative Expocacer said Brazil's coffee farmers are picking smaller-than-usual beans this harvest after coffee trees went through a period of heat and drought that harmed development.  Also, StoneX projected today a global 2024/25 coffee surplus of 2 million to 3 million bags, below the USDA's forecast of 5.6 million bags.
