Arabica Coffee Falls Back on Dollar Strength

Dec arabica coffee (KCZ23) on Friday closed down -1.15 (-0.75%), and Nov ICE robusta coffee (RMX23) closed up +31 (+1.29%).

Coffee prices Friday settled mixed, with robusta posting a 1-week high.  Friday's rally in the dollar index to a 2-1/2 month high undercut arabica prices.  However, signs of shrinking supplies lifted robusta prices as ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories Friday fell to a record low of 3,408 lots (data history back to 2016).
