Arabica Coffee Erases Early Gains on Weakness in Brazilian Real

Sep arabica coffee (KCU23) on Tuesday closed down -0.10 (-0.06%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU23) closed up +14 (+0.54%).

Coffee prices Tuesday settled mixed.  Arabica fell back from a 5-week high Tuesday and closed slightly lower as a decline in the real (^USDBRL) to a 1-week low sparked long liquidation in arabica futures.  A weaker real encourages export selling from Brazil's coffee producers.
