Arabica Coffee Climbs to a Record as Volcafe Cuts its Brazil Crop Outlook

March arabica coffee (KCH25) Tuesday closed up +4.05 (+1.23%), and January ICE robusta coffee (RMF25) closed up +22 (+0.42%).

Coffee prices on Tuesday extended their sharp week-long rally, with Mar arabica posting a contract high and the Dec nearest-futures contract (Z24) posting a record high.  Also, robusta coffee rose to a 1-week high.  Arabica prices fell back from their best levels as current arabica supplies expanded after ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories on Tuesday climbed to a 2-1/2 year high of 911,103 bags.
