In the film, the actor is set to make his return as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, opposite Patrick Wilson's Orm, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the Black Manta. Director James Wan, renowned for his work in the Aquaman series, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the chance to witness Curry's character growth.
