By accepting it, you might not only be handing over your private data to hackers, but also allowing them to trap your friends and family and their contacts in a web of blackmail, extortion, and abuse.
A farmer from Himmatnagar learnt this the hard way after he downloaded some apps that allowed cyber recovery agents to hack not just his phone but that of all his contacts, and their contacts, too. Through his one number, the cybercrooks infiltrated the phones of 13,498 people and tried to extort money from all of them.
