Police have released an image of a woman they wish to speak with in connection with a "horrific" assault in a Nottingham city centre venue. The incident happened in the smoking area at an establishment in Talbot Street on Saturday, October 1, at 2.10am.
Two female students, aged 19 and 20, were in the smoking area when they were attacked by a woman, police said. One of the victims was grabbed by the scalp and punched in the face repeatedly before the suspect fled the scene.
She was left with bruises and cuts to her body. Police have now released an image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.
Detective Constable Sean Parker said: “This was a horrific, unprovoked attack in the middle of the smoking area of a Nottingham venue. There was completely no need for this attack on two teenagers who were just enjoying a night out in the city.
“We would really like to talk to the person on the CCTV image to help us with our inquiries. If you know the person on the picture or you are the person in this picture, then please get in touch.”
